AN 18TH CENTURY FIGURED AND CROSSBAND WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK BY AYLMER STOPES OF LONDON having a 30cm brass arched dial, with strike/silent to the dial, Roman numerals and Arabic numerals to the chapter ring, subsidiary dial and calendar aperture, signed to a brass plaque 'Alymer Stopes London', urn and scroll spandrels and opposing dolphins to the arch, 8-day movement striking on a bell, the hood with moulded cornice and fluted pilasters, the trunk with long door of arched profile, above a plain panel below on plinth base, 216cm high

Movement: Appears complete. Very worn. Complete with two weight pendulum, key and case key.
Dial: Appear original, one spandrel corner missing, some small losses to the Roman black wax numerals.
Hands: The hour hand is a little short. Possible replacement.
Case: Some4 small losses on the back edge and veneer below the bottom hinge. Several cracks and some losses to the door edge. A major crack to the door front.
Hood: Some losses / repair to the veneer near the door hinges and to the bottom front edge. Chips and cracks to the top arch and one to one corner.
Glass: Complete
